Coopérative Monark launches “Join the Monark Movement!”

All together for more milkweed !

Coopérative Monark, through its driving role in the development of a Quebec milkweed industry, works to bring together all the players in a large community of collaborative innovation.

An approach that pays off.  A new generation of textile insulation is emerging thanks to innovative processes.  This milkweed insulation is 30 to 60% lighter than synthetic equivalents on the market for the same thermal capacity.

The Great Monark Movement

Thus, we are ready to launch a crowdfunding campaign with La Ruche in order to raise awareness of the project and demonstrate to industries people’s interest in products made from local plant materials such as milkweed.

Reaching the $30,000 goal will allow the cooperative to design a unique and exclusive pair of mittens, made from new generation milkweed thermal insulation and vegetable leather.   It is also possible for manufacturers and craftsmen to obtain a few meters of the new milkweed insulating padding in order to test it in their products.
